Male, Maledives So long ... and thanks for all the fish! They are shutting the website down ... so this is the last message from my vso blog. And in any case it would expire in January anyway, so we might as well get it over and done with it NOW.
What to say? Too much for the space provided and not enough to be able to describe 2 years of life and work in the Maldives.
I have thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the frustrations and the food allergies. It is a shame to leave now that the country is undergoing a complete change in approach and system, but it is only right that things should be handled by the people. People power... that is the slogan now. Good luck.
